Female boxer Chen Nien-chin, fresh from winning a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, teamed up with popular local singer Kun-da to shoot a promotional video. Collaborating for the first time, they expressed mutual admiration for each other's professional talents. The filming location was filled with energy and vitality, reflecting the core spirit of National Sports Day. The video creatively integrates free, practical health information in a fun way, aiming to encourage everyone to get moving and embrace an active lifestyle!
SA Director-General Cheng Shih-chung, along with the spokespersons, jointly promoted two free initiatives: First, public sports facilities will be free to use: On September 9, National Sports Day, civil sports centers and public sports facilities will be open to the public free of charge; Second, tech-based physical fitness testing will be free: In September, physical fitness testing will be available for free across Taiwan. The SA has expanded the weekly tech-based physical fitness testing to include two vehicles operating simultaneously across northern, central, southern, and, for the first time, eastern regions. During September, free fitness testing will be available at various locations: Taipei Syntrend Creative Park and Kaohsiung Dream Mall Square in the first week (1st, 7th, 8th); Showtime Live Taichung Station Store and Kaohsiung Dream Mall Square in the second week (14th, 15th); Showtime Live Taichung Station Store and Taitung County Stadium in the third week (21st, 22nd); and Taipei Syntrend Creative Park and Showtime Live Taichung Station Store in the fourth week (28th, 29th). The public is encouraged to participate in the free testing to promote good health and regular exercise. By offering these two free activities, everyone is invited to "Exercise from September 9 to stay healthy," boosting the national sports spirit.
The SA announced that the National Sports Act designates September 9 as National Sports Day, emphasizing the importance of maintaining regular exercise habits for physical and mental health, regardless of age or occupation.
